This is my assignment for the visual communication subject:
1st assignment
My first assignment was to quotes the picture that I choose.
2nd assignment
My second assignment was basically same as my first assignment but to improve it a little bit by using the right font and colour for the right picture.
3rd assignment
This is my third assignment where to make the quotes or words smaller and put the words at the right place. to make it balance.
4th assignment
My forth assignment is to design a toilet sign for Male and Female user and describe it.
This is my second design which is the symbol for each gender. the sign might be use at the mall restroom.
This is my third design which is the faces of a female and male. I choose the face because it's easy to recognize. The sign can be use at the local snack bar suck as Pub, bistro and etc.
5th assignment
My fifth assignment was to pick any 3 symbol and 3 sign and do a research about it.
I have been choosing a Disable sign as my first sign.
DISABLE SIGN
DESCRIPTION:
According to the website that I have look up at, The International Symbol of Access (ISA), also known as the
(International) Wheelchair Symbol, consists of a blue square overlaid in white
with a stylized image of a person using a wheelchair. It was designed by
Susanne Koefoed in 1968. The design was modified by Karl Montan. Building codes
such as the California Builders Code, Section 1117B.5.8 Symbols of
Accessibility require "a white figure on a blue background. The blue shall
be equal to Color No. 15090 in Federal Standard 595B.
This is my second sign which is Non-Smoking Sign.
NO SMOKING SIGN
DESCRIPTION:
According to the website that i found, no smoking signs are a
useful tool to enforce no smoking regulations, which are becoming stricter due
to the ohs act. Employers need to keep employees and visitors safe within
workplaces or public areas. Many workcover authorities have recently revised
their no smoking regulations and enforced smoking bans in most public areas.
Displaying no smoking signs around the workplace enforces this regulation.
My third sign is a Left turn sign.
LEFT TURN SIGN
DESCRIPTION:
According to the website, the drivers attempting to make a left turn are sometimes frustrated by the inability to turn due to the amount of oncoming traffic. Traffic engineers study these situations to determine if there is a need for a left turn arrow.
Left turn arrows are great if you're the one turning left, however they generally make the wait longer for everyone at the intersection. Traffic engineers must balance between adding a left turn arrow for the minor vehicle movement (left turners) and cause more overall delay for the other more major movements or allow left turners to use available gaps in opposing traffic as well as the yellow phase of the signal to make the left turn. Safety and accident history are always considered in this evaluation.
This is my first symbol which is recycle symbol.
RECYCLE
DESCRIPTON:
From what I have found, The universal recycling symbol (U+2672 ♲ universal
recycling symbol or U+267B ♻ black
universal recycling symbol in Unicode)
is an internationally recognized symbol used
to designate recyclable materials. It is composed of three mutually
chasing arrows that form a Möbius strip(an unending single-sided looped surface).

The second symbol that i choose is the Toilet symbol.
TOILET SYMBOL
DESCRIPTION:
THE MALE AND FEMALE FIGURE SHOW THE SIGN FOR THE TOILET FOR
MAN AND WOMAN. THE FIGURE WAS SHAPED LIKE A HUMAN AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
MAN AND WOMAN IS THE WAIST, THE WOMAN SYMBOL IS WITH SKIRT ON IT.
The third symbol was the shutdown symbol
SHUT DOWN SYMBOL
DESCRIPTION:
THE SHUT DOWN SYMBOL WAS NORMALLY USED ON A GADGET SUCH AS
LAPTOP, COMPUTER, MOBILE PHONE AND OTHER GADGET. THE SHUT DOWN WAS TO TURN OFF
THE GADGET OR TO LOCK IT.
6th assignment
My latest assignment was to capture 5 picture that I think have meanings or some visual image that i can see.
The first picture is a celling, the cement was probably got crack up and fall. The crack left a mark which is to me that it look like a little girl on a dress.
The second picture is the wall from the taxi stands near the field which is look like a transformer mask.
The third picture is from the same place with the second image, the image is the cover of an electric box. The hole at cover look like a spider robotic face, which has 6 eyes and big mouth.
The forth image is a paint stain on the junction near the local hostel. the first time i look at it, it look like a dragon, then again i look like a gold fish.
The last image is the rust from the sign pole. The rust look like Joker face from the movie "batman: the dark knight". The rust was really looks like it, from the eyes to the nose and the mouth.
my final assignment is an info graphic, i have chose a issue about a child safety.
