Design method

The learning outcome of the programmes are students will be able to:

The aim of this programme BTEC Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design is to provide a learning environment that ensures students will:

  1. Gain the education and training for a range of careers in Graphic Design
  2. Develop skills in design, implementation and evaluation appropriate to the pathway they have chosen.
  3. Become proficient in Graphic Design skills relevant to the industry and the current scenario.
  4. Be aware of trends in the area of specialization.
  5. Be able to learn and work both individually and as part of the group.
  6. Develop effective communication skills, both on an individual basis as well as making corporate presentation.
  7. Produce work of a highly professional standard
  8. Be equipped to pursue further study in the area of choice

5. Scenario/Introduction/Background Information:

     This unit focuses on understanding and applying the design development cycle when creating a new product or improving an existing product or service. The design development cycle encompasses the process from initial concept through to design and production, including reviews at various stages. Learners will explore the stages and methodology relating to design methods and apply them to their work. Learners will be encouraged to develop an analytical and methodical approach and to use evaluation and review to develop work. Design methods used to develop products or services should be innovative and could involve a new product, an improvement to an existing product or the application of new technology of material.

     Learners will be expected to apply the fundamental of design methods when developing their own product and to develop resourceful and innovative design solutions to a brief. Rigorous review and testing of ideas should be used to encourage debate and development of ideas. Production methods should be considered and this can be achieved through working to a brief, considering costing, the needs of end users, environment and issues of sustainability.

Ideas Generation and Development in Art and Design

Task
For this task we been ask to created a Commercial or Tv advert on our social and daily life problem.
My idea for this task is to show people that it is not hard to share kindness to people around us because it will make people feel appreciate. The people that you help will remember your help until the end of the day, helping people is not something that just help, its also can bond a relationship between people.

 This story board tells about a random student that just get back from class and saw a new student, he decided to go met him and ask if he have any problem and help the student.

The Tv commercial that is short and will remind the viewer when their facing the situation.

Outcome
Peoples will make a right decision and care other peoples feeling from hurting others.we will live in peaceful life.

dialogue:

Fazri was walking back from his class. He saw a new students that just came and look confuse and hopeless. Without thinking much, Fazri go and met the student.

Fazri: Hey, what up? Is there anything that I can help? by the way, I'm Muhamad Fazri, just call me Fazri.
Rustana: Oh, Hey Fazri. Im Rustana. Actually I just got here and I actually got confuse on the hostel. I dont know where my block is and i've got a lot of stuff to take with me.

Fazri: Are you sarawakian?
Rustana: Yes, im from Kuching Sarawak. How did you know? and what about you?
Fazri: I can hear you sarawak slang, and Im also from Sarawak. Im from Sibu. And by the way, what is your block number? i can help you take your stuff.
Rustana: Owh, you are a sarawakians too? Its nice to met someone from the same place. So you can help me? okay. This is my block number, its SI08. Do you know where it is?

Fazri: Yes, i know right? yeah sure. I know where it is. come, i'll take you there.

Fazri lift up one of the big box show Rustana where his block is. They heading to the block and talk about the college.
After walking a few block, they reach SI08 where Rustana block is. 


Fazri: This is it, this is SI08. Come, lets go to your house.
Rustana: Owh, so this is it, it no that far. Thanks Fazri!


After a few level.

Fazri: so this is your house.
Rustana: Its quite nice, and have a lot of space. and thanks Fazri for helping me with all this. im so thankful for everything you did. Thanks again!
Fazri: Its ok, i feel good helping people because you never know maybe one day you got into trouble and you need help. Someone will help you.
Rustana: Yes, thanks. I know, its great to do something nice.
Fazry: okay then, you you need something or help, just ask around.
Rustana: okay, sure will.

And Fazri left the block.
Kindness is a behavior marked by ethical characteristics, a pleasant disposition, and concern for others. It is known as avirtue, and recognized as a value in many cultures and religions.
Effect of Kindness
